~~~First I'll start with a Blast from the past !!~~~~
Kate Bush !!!
There is no other recording artist in the world today quite like Kate Bush. In the course of her twenty-seven year career, since her dramatic arrival at nineteen years of age in 1978 with the hauntingly beautiful and instantly classic ‘Wuthering Heights’, Bush has built a reputation that remains unrivalled in terms of musical ambition, pioneering sonics, stirring emotional content and sheer originality. The fact that the world waited for the release of her eighth album, ‘Aerial’, for more than a decade has, if anything, only added to the air of mystique surrounding her.
~~~and now for some Current Cool!!~~~
Lissie !!!
Lissie Maurus was raised in the riverside town of Rock Island, IL, and she drew upon those blue-collar Midwestern origins to create her own form of indie folk music. After dropping out of high school during her senior year, Lissie headed west and eventually settled in Los Angeles, where she became a fixture on the coffeehouse circuit and landed a national tour opening for Lenny Kravitz. A self-titled EP appeared in 2007, but things truly began picking up speed in 2009, when Lissie released a second EP, the dusky Why You Runnin', and toured the country alongside Ray LaMontagne.
Seen as Fabrics are my new THING!! I might dedicate Friday posts to all things fabric.
